Cyclists agree: riding resembles flying. With little more effort than walking, our legs propel us faster than we can run. Silver spokes flashing in sunlight lift both bodies and souls. Those sensations remain as liberating as your first ride's, so feel like a kid again. Turn your commute into exercise. Leave the automobile at home or day-park it for free at a MARTA station. The Atlanta Bicycle Coalition offers welcoming advice for newbies and opportunities for anyone to make a difference. Ride on!

Heels On Wheels This Saturday

IMG_0330 American Bicyclist MayJune 2012 - Google Chrome 612012 121251 PM While riding in Heels On Wheels looks like good fun, it is also advocacy for a movement in which women are taking the initiative. Atlanta Bicycle Coalition Executive Director Rebecca Serna and other leading ladies were interviewed by Carolyn Szczepanski for Pedal Progress in the May-June issue of American Bicyclist Magazine. Click on the screen shot to read about it. If you feel so moved, meet them Saturday at 6pm in Woodruff Park.
