Today's promised cloudy skies offer shelter from the sun, no matter your outdoor activity, and the Small Room Collective offers yet another reason to visit Decatur. Look for their vintage Airstream trailer next to Victory Sandwich Shop on Church Street.
The search for a portrait setting at the Heels On Wheels ride today found this vintage Airstream trailer, the travelling home of Small Room Collective. Lauren and Travis have brought their treasures to Church Street, Decatur for the weekend. Look for them next to the Victory Sandwich Shop. The graphic on the trailer's number plate is not wishful thinking. It commemorates French racing cyclist Alfred LeTourneur, who towed an Airstream trailer at Metropolitan Airport in Van Nuys, California in 1947.
The Heels On Wheels hiatus ends Saturday morning at ten o'clock, when cyclists will gather at Houndstooth Road in Decatur. Say ride organizers, "Suggested dress is 'bike fancy' though heels are optional." Please look to their facebook page for more information.
