Love For Atlanta Bicycle Chic
Long at the nexus of street fashion and bicycle commuting, Let's Go Ride A Bike is the go-to blog for sharing stories of urban life on two wheels. Dottie in Chicago and Trish in Nashville express the view that if we can do it, so can you. Reading LGRAB is something like riding in a group; the hill may be steep but dozens of others are climbing it, too. Their popularity is well-earned. Ladies, thanks for your kind words about Atlanta Bicycle Chic and Atlanta Street Fashion.

Of Belles, Bikes And Blogs
Courtnee of Sweet Georgia Brown joined Saturday's ride to Ansley Park and a familiar face who prefers the pseudonym 'Prima Cyclorina' this week launched a blog called CycleKabob. Heels On Wheels veteran Rachel Poretsky found stylish safety in a reflective sash from the Houndstooth Road collections. The Atlanta importer is planning e-commerce and retail space for Spring 2012.

Boots On Wheels Saturday
Nothing turns heads, or wheels, in winter's chill like a pair of boots. Old friends and new will gather by the Reading Room in Woodruff Park at 5pm Saturday for the Peachtree Street see and be scene. The ride is a leisurely one and will finish at the Sound Table. Dress to impress and bring a light for the final ride of 2011.

Georgia Tech Bike Week
A small but enthusiastic group of students gathered yesterday at the Ferst Center ampitheater for a display of commuter styles. This being Atlanta, not Amsterdam, helmets are advised. One fellow found their vibe so infectious that joined the parade not only bare headed but shoeless to boot. Best come properly dressed for tonight's Tour de Tech ride with Bud Peterson, 6pm at the Student Center.

Cyclists: Save These Dates
All of the Bikes from Alix Huntsman on Vimeo.
So many events, so little time. Blame it on Georgia Tech, whose Bike Week 2011 offers a full calendar of rides, a public forum and even a fashion show on Thursday at 11am. Event anthem All Of The Bikes features the many talents of frequent ASF contributor Heidi Vreeland. After Friday's Tour de Tech, ride over to Candler Park for cLiPs Of Faith, the traveling film festival produced by New Belgium Brewing. An example of their iconic cruiser will be raffled to raise money for the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition, whose Heels On Wheels ride Saturday opens the month of October with a flourish.Friday, September 16, 2011

Heels On Wheels Meets Dragon Con
"Look at them!" a man walking on Peachtree Street shouted. "Ladies in dresses riding their bicycles." 'Tis no mean feat to stand out in the sea of alter egos that is Dragon Con, yet a dozen damsels began their soirée doing just that. Said Rebecca Serna Woiderski, "Freedom is being in motion. Tonight I biked, danced and laughed with my whole body." Please click here to see more images from this and previous rides.
